Who Can Apply

• Must be an incorporated not-for-profit multicultural community organisation • Eligible incorporated entities include NSW Fair Trading approved not-for-profit bodies, not-for-profit companies limited by guarantee registered in New South Wales with ACNC registration and/or DGR status, religious organisations operating in New South Wales, and New South Wales non-government organisations established under their own Act of Parliament • Must be based in New South Wales and already operating in the state • Must identify or be known as a multicultural organisation • Must be managed and operated by community members, including women, from multicultural backgrounds • Must be connected to the multicultural community or communities in which services are delivered • Must specialise in service delivery to people from multicultural communities • Must seek one-off funding for projects or activities that build capability to recognise and respond to domestic, family and sexual violence • Individuals and sole traders are not eligible • Local councils are not eligible • State and federal government departments and associated entities are not eligible • For-profit organisations and commercial enterprises are not eligible • Organisations with Redress obligations that declined to join the National Redress Scheme are not eligible • Organisations subject to a winding up order or with an appointed administrator are not eligible • Organisations with a pending or ongoing legal case are not eligible • Bankrupt organisations are not eligible • Organisations without sound financial management and governance are not eligible
Applicants must be incorporated not-for-profit multicultural community organisations that meet the grant guidelines. Eligible organisations include incorporated organisations registered and approved as not-for-profit bodies by NSW Fair Trading, not-for-profit companies limited by guarantee registered in New South Wales with ACNC registration and/or DGR status, religious organisations operating in New South Wales, and New South Wales non-government organisations established under their own Act of Parliament. Organisations must be based in New South Wales and already operating in the state, identify or be known as a multicultural organisation, be managed and operated by community members including women from multicultural backgrounds, be connected to the multicultural communities in which they deliver services, specialise in service delivery to people from multicultural communities, and seek one-off funding for projects that build capability to recognise and respond to domestic, family and sexual violence. Individuals, sole traders, local councils, state and federal government departments and associated entities, and for-profit organisations and commercial enterprises cannot apply. Funding will not be awarded to organisations that have Redress obligations and declined to join the National Redress Scheme, are subject to a winding up order or have an appointed administrator, have a pending or ongoing legal case, are bankrupt, or lack sound financial management and governance.
