• Be at least 16 years of age • Be an Australian resident or the holder of an eligible visa • Have been adversely affected by a major disaster • Be seriously injured as a direct result of the disaster, or • Have an immediate family member who died or is missing, or • Have your principal place of residence destroyed or significantly damaged, or • Be the principal carer of a dependent child who experienced any of the above
To be eligible, applicants must be at least 16 years of age, be an Australian resident or the holder of an eligible visa, and have been adversely affected by a major disaster. A person is considered adversely affected if, as a direct result of the disaster, they are seriously injured, have an immediate family member who died or is missing, have their principal place of residence destroyed or significantly damaged, or are the principal carer of a dependent child who has experienced any of these circumstances.
