Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be a Community Preschool, including a mobile preschool. • Service must currently receive NSW Start Strong for Community Preschools funding or the Mobile Preschools Funding Program. • Child must be at least 3 years old on or before 31 July in the preschool year and not in compulsory schooling, or turn 3 after 31 July and demonstrate exceptional circumstances. • Child must have high learning support needs as defined in the program guidelines. • Child must require an Individual Learning Plan identifying goals, teaching strategies and adjustments. • Child must require consistent support and guidance to participate on the same basis as peers. • Applications are assessed by the Department on a case-by-case basis.
Available only to Community Preschools, including mobile preschools, that are currently in receipt of NSW Start Strong for Community Preschools funding or the Mobile Preschools Funding Program. Child eligibility criteria also apply: the child must be at least 3 years old on or before 31 July in that preschool year and not in compulsory schooling, or turn at least 3 years old after 31 July and demonstrate exceptional circumstances. The child must have high learning support needs as defined in the program guidelines, including constant and ongoing support needs or a temporary illness or injury requiring short-term adjustment, require an Individual Learning Plan, and require consistent support and guidance to engage at the same level as peers. Applications are considered by the Department on a case-by-case basis.
