Who Can Apply
• Be a legal entity with an operating presence in Victoria
• Operate in the manufacturing and/or construction sectors
• Have an Australian Business Number (ABN) held on and from 2025-06-01
• Be registered for Goods and Services Tax (GST) on and from 2025-06-01
• Have met all industrial relations obligations as an employer in accordance with the National Employment Standards
• For free six-week training courses, be a small to medium sized employing business with fewer than 200 employees
• Make nominated employees available for training in the selected training round
• Provide an opportunity for employees to apply the training on the job
• Participate in future program evaluation activities
• Ensure nominated employees are based in Victoria
To be eligible, the applicant must be a legal entity with an operating presence in Victoria, operate in the manufacturing and/or construction sectors, have an ABN held on and from 1 June 2025, be registered for GST on and from 1 June 2025, and have met all industrial relations obligations as an employer in accordance with the National Employment Standards. To be eligible for free six-week training courses, the business must be a small to medium sized employing business with fewer than 200 employees. The business must also agree to make nominated employees available for training in the selected round, provide an opportunity for employees to apply the training on the job, and ensure both the business and employees participate in future program evaluation activities. Nominated employees must be based in Victoria.
