Who Can Apply

Must have an active ABN, GST registration, and an Australian financial institution account. Must be an SME with fewer than 200 employees or a Defence Industry Association. Must be incorporated in Australia, a company limited by guarantee, or an incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust. Individuals, partnerships, overseas organisations, tax-exempt entities, and government bodies are not eligible.
Applicants must have an Australian Business Number, be registered for GST, have an account with an Australian financial institution, be non-income tax exempt, and be either an SME with fewer than 200 employees or a Defence Industry Association. Eligible entity types are an entity incorporated in Australia, a company limited by guarantee, or an incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust. Ineligible applicants include organisations on the National Redress Scheme non-participation list, employers of 100 or more employees that have not complied with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012, income tax exempt entities, individuals, partnerships, overseas organisations, unincorporated associations, trusts applying directly, and Commonwealth, state, territory or local government bodies. Applicants may partner with other eligible organisations, but the lead organisation must submit the application and, if successful, sign the grant agreement and ensure compliance.
