Who Can Apply

• Must have an active Australian Business Number (ABN) • Must be registered for GST • Must be an eligible incorporated entity, such as an Australian company, company limited by guarantee, incorporated trustee for a corporate trust, incorporated association or co-operative, publicly funded research organisation, eligible government business research entity, or an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Corporation • Must operate, or be developing, a mineral project within the critical minerals and high-tech metals industry or supply chain • Must demonstrate financial and technical capacity to deliver the proposed infrastructure project • Must provide evidence of $20 million public liability insurance, or confirm it will be obtained before the Funding Deed is executed • Proposed project must support infrastructure needed to enable critical minerals or high-tech metals mining, processing or production in New South Wales • Proposed project must relate to at least one identified critical mineral or high-tech metal • Proposed project must commence construction within 18 months from execution of the Funding Deed • Proposed project must already have, or be able to secure, all necessary planning approvals and licences • Proposed project must align with the objectives of the Fund and Stream 2 • Proposed project must deliver significant benefits to critical minerals extraction and/or downstream processing in regional New South Wales • Proposed project must use technologies successfully demonstrated and accepted by research and industry • The related mineral project must be significantly advanced and economically feasible • Proposed project must create additional ongoing jobs in regional New South Wales • Applicants must provide a cash co-contribution of at least 50% of total project cost unless otherwise approved by the Department • Ineligible lead applicants include local councils, Joint Organisations of Councils, Australian or New South Wales Government departments, sole traders, individuals, unincorporated associations, and insolvent businesses
Applicants must have an Australian Business Number, be registered for GST, and be an eligible incorporated entity such as an Australian company, company limited by guarantee, incorporated trustee for a corporate trust, incorporated association or co-operative, publicly funded research organisation, certain corporate Commonwealth entities or State and Territory business enterprises undertaking publicly funded research, or an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Corporation. Applicants must operate, or be developing, a mineral project within the critical minerals and high-tech metals industry or supply chain, demonstrate financial and technical capacity to deliver the infrastructure project, and hold or commit to obtaining at least $20 million public liability insurance before executing the funding deed. Proposed projects must support critical minerals or high-tech metals mining, processing or production in New South Wales, relate to at least one identified critical mineral or high-tech metal, commence construction within 18 months of the funding deed, secure necessary approvals and licences, align with fund objectives, deliver significant benefits in regional New South Wales, use successfully demonstrated technologies, involve a significantly advanced and economically feasible related mineral project, and create additional ongoing jobs in regional New South Wales. Applicants must provide a cash co-contribution of at least 50% of total project cost unless otherwise approved in writing. Ineligible lead applicants include local councils, Joint Organisations of Councils, Australian or New South Wales Government departments, sole traders, individuals, unincorporated associations, and insolvent businesses.
