• Must be a New South Wales business impacted by COVID-19 • Must be a payroll tax customer for the payroll tax reduction measure • Total grouped Australian wages for the 2021/22 financial year must be 10000000 or less • Eligible if the business received a 2021 COVID-19 Business Grant or JobSaver payment • Alternatively, if no 2021 COVID-19 Business Grant or JobSaver payment was received, the business may qualify by demonstrating a 30% decline in turnover • The turnover decline must be measured over a minimum 14-day period during the Greater Sydney lockdown from 2021-06-26 to 2021-11-30 • The turnover comparison period must be against the same period in 2019 or 2020
Available to New South Wales businesses impacted by COVID-19. A 50% reduction in 2021/22 payroll tax liability applies to payroll tax customers eligible for a 2021 COVID-19 Business Grant or JobSaver payment whose total grouped Australian wages for the 2021/22 financial year are $10 million or less. Businesses with total grouped wages of $10 million or less that did not receive a 2021 COVID-19 Business Grant or JobSaver payment may still be eligible if they can demonstrate a 30% decline in turnover during a minimum 14-day period during the Greater Sydney lockdown from 26 June to 30 November 2021 compared to the same period in 2019 or 2020.
