Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be a charitable or not-for-profit organisation, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community organisation, local council, joint organisation of councils, or an unincorporated community group auspiced by an eligible incorporated organisation • Unincorporated community groups without an eligible auspice cannot apply • Individuals cannot apply • Organisations or businesses that may realise a commercial gain from the project cannot apply • Project must respond to the impacts of COVID-19 on the community • Project must address one or more program objectives • Project must be delivered in a COVID-safe environment with contingency plans for changes in public health orders • Project must be ready to commence within 2 months of receiving funding • Project scope of work and key milestones must be clearly defined in the application • Project must not have commenced prior to funding approval and execution of a funding agreement • Applications were open to projects across New South Wales
Eligible applicants were charitable and not-for-profit organisations, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community organisations, local councils, joint organisations of councils, and unincorporated community groups auspiced by an eligible incorporated organisation. Ineligible applicants included unauspiced unincorporated groups, individuals, and organisations or businesses that may realise a commercial gain from the project. Eligible projects had to respond to the impacts of COVID-19 on the community, address one or more program objectives, be delivered in a COVID-safe environment with contingency plans for public health order changes, and be ready to commence within 2 months of receiving funding. Projects also needed clearly defined scope and milestones and must not have commenced before approval. Applications were welcomed from across New South Wales.
