Who Can Apply

• Applicants must be based in Bogan Shire Council, Bourke Shire Council, Brewarrina Shire Council, Cobar Shire Council, Coonamble Shire Council, Walgett Shire Council or Warren Shire Council. • Eligible applicant types include a not-for-profit incorporated body, a local government authority, an individual or sole trader, or a collective with a nominated administering body. • Applicants must have a current certificate of currency for Broadform Liability or Public Liability Insurance. • Except for local government, applicants must provide a current financial report for their organisation and any administering body. • Applicants must discuss their project with the relevant Regional Arts Development Organisation before submitting. • Projects must start no earlier than 2025-05-01 and be completed by 2025-12-31. • If the project involves working with children and young people, applicants must supply a current Working With Children Check Number. • Applications involving Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander artists, communities or activities must provide relevant letters of support. • Ineligible applicants include interstate organisations, professional touring groups, commercial enterprises, unincorporated associations without an administering body, regional conservatoriums, certain government departments and schools, applicants with overdue reports or acquittals, and applicants already funded by Create NSW for the same activity. • Ineligible projects include competitions, fundraising events, sporting activities, projects already commenced or completed, and activities already funded by Create NSW for the same purpose. • Ineligible costs include core administration, office costs, equipment purchases, capital expenses, publication production costs, prizes, adjudication fees, and ongoing operating expenses.
Applicants must be based in one of the eligible Outback Arts local government areas: Bogan, Bourke, Brewarrina, Cobar, Coonamble, Walgett or Warren in regional New South Wales. Eligible applicants include not-for-profit incorporated bodies, local government authorities, individuals or sole traders, and collectives with a nominated administering body. Applicants must hold current Broadform Liability or Public Liability Insurance, and except for local government must provide a current financial report. Applicants must discuss their project with the relevant Regional Arts Development Organisation before submitting. Projects must take place between 1 May 2025 and 31 December 2025. Additional requirements may apply, including Working With Children Check details where relevant and letters of support for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander-related creative content. Ineligible applicants and projects include interstate organisations, professional touring groups, commercial enterprises, unincorporated groups without an administering body, regional conservatoriums, government departments including schools (except incorporated P&Cs), applicants with overdue acquittals, projects already funded by Create NSW for the same activity, competitions, fundraising events, sporting activities, commenced or completed projects, and requests for core administration, equipment, capital expenses, publication production, prizes, adjudication fees, or general operating costs.
