The Conference Sponsorship Program provides sponsorship grants for research conferences taking place in New South Wales in 2026. It supports eligible research institutions and community sector organisations to deliver conferences that align with the NSW 20-Year R&D Roadmap and contribute scientific, technological and community benefits to New South Wales.

Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be from a New South Wales public sector research institution or the New South Wales community sector. • Eligible applicant types include incorporated non-profit organisations, national non-profit organisations planning a conference in New South Wales, community groups, universities and government associations. • A Professional Conference Organiser may apply only in partnership with an eligible entity. • Conference research area must be in mathematical, information and computing sciences; physical, chemical and earth sciences; engineering, environmental sciences and renewable energy; or biological and biotechnological sciences. • Conference must be held in New South Wales between January and December 2026. • Project should start by 2026-01-01 and must be completed by 2026-12-31. • Ineligible applicants include insolvent entities, individuals, partnerships, unincorporated associations, private companies, and most government agencies or bodies. • Conferences that received funding from OCSE in 2025 are not eligible.
Applicants must be from a New South Wales public sector research institution or from the New South Wales community sector. Eligible examples include non-profit organisations incorporated under the Federal Corporations Act 2001 as applied in New South Wales, national non-profit organisations planning a conference in New South Wales, community groups, universities and government associations. A Professional Conference Organiser may apply in partnership with one of these entities. The conference research area must fall within mathematical, information and computing sciences; physical, chemical and earth sciences; engineering, environmental sciences and renewable energy; or biological and biotechnological sciences. Conferences must be held in New South Wales between January and December 2026, with projects starting by 1 January 2026 and completed by 31 December 2026. Ineligible applicants include insolvent entities, individuals, partnerships, unincorporated associations, private companies, and Commonwealth, state, territory or local government agencies or bodies excluding government corporate entities. Conferences that received funding from OCSE in 2025 are also ineligible.
