The Conference Sponsorship Program provides sponsorship grants for scientific research conferences taking place in New South Wales in 2025. It supports conferences relevant to the NSW 20-Year R&D Roadmap and aims to promote knowledge exchange, collaboration and innovation.

Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be from a New South Wales public sector research institution or the New South Wales community sector • Eligible applicants include incorporated non-profit organisations, national non-profit organisations planning a conference in New South Wales, community groups, universities and government associations • A Professional Conference Organiser may apply only in partnership with an eligible entity • Conference must be a scientific conference taking place in New South Wales between January and December 2025 • Project should start by 2025-01-01 and must be completed by 2025-12-31 • Funds must be spent on conference organisation activities occurring in New South Wales • Insolvent applicants are not eligible • Individuals are not eligible • Partnerships are not eligible • Unincorporated associations are not eligible • Private companies are not eligible • Commonwealth, state, territory and local government agencies or bodies are not eligible, excluding government corporate entities • Conferences that received OCSE funding in 2024 are not eligible
To be eligible, applicants must be from a New South Wales public sector research institution or from the New South Wales community sector. Eligible applicants include non-profit organisations incorporated under the Federal Corporations Act 2001 as applied in New South Wales or national non-profit organisations planning a conference in New South Wales, community groups, universities, government associations, and Professional Conference Organisers applying in partnership with one of those entities. Funded conferences must be scientific conferences taking place in New South Wales between January and December 2025. Projects should start by 1 January 2025 and must be completed by 31 December 2025. Ineligible applicants include insolvent entities, individuals, partnerships, unincorporated associations, private companies, and Commonwealth, state, territory or local government agencies or bodies excluding government corporate entities. Conferences that received funding from OCSE in 2024 are also ineligible.
