Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be an eligible organisation, not an individual. • Applicant must be one of the listed eligible applicant types, including incorporated not-for-profit organisations, New South Wales local councils, certain not-for-profit companies, Indigenous Corporations, New South Wales Local Aboriginal Land Councils, religious organisations, certain New South Wales non-government organisations, New South Wales Government agencies, or non-Council Crown Land Managers. • Applicant must be the owner of the war memorial, or have endorsement from the owner of the war memorial. • Project must relate to an existing war memorial in New South Wales. • Application must align with one eligible category only: Category A specialist advice or Category B physical conservation works. • Projects for construction of new war memorials are not eligible. • Projects that have already started or finished are not eligible. • War memorial must be recorded on the New South Wales War Memorials Register. • Commercial for-profit projects are not eligible.
Applicants must be eligible organisations responsible for the management of war memorials in New South Wales. Eligible applicant types include incorporated not-for-profit community organisations, New South Wales local councils, incorporated not-for-profit organisations approved by NSW Fair Trading, not-for-profit companies limited by guarantee registered in New South Wales with ACNC registration and/or DGR status, Indigenous Corporations registered with ORIC, New South Wales Local Aboriginal Land Councils, religious organisations operating in New South Wales, New South Wales non-government organisations established under their own Act of Parliament, New South Wales Government agencies who own or are responsible for a war memorial including government schools, and non-Council Crown Land Managers (Category 1 or 2). The applicant must be the owner of the war memorial or have the owner's endorsement to undertake the project and apply. Projects must relate to existing war memorials in New South Wales and align with either Category A heritage/specialist advice or Category B physical conservation works. Individuals cannot apply.
