Who Can Apply

• Must be able to enter into a grant funding agreement with the Department of Communities and Justice • Must have an Australian bank account • Must have an Australian Business Number (ABN) • Must hold appropriate insurance, including at least $10 million public liability insurance • Must address NSW National Redress Scheme sanctions requirements • Must be a registered Australian business, a not-for-profit Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation, or another eligible incorporated organisation • Eligible incorporated organisations include NSW Fair Trading approved not-for-profit incorporated associations • Eligible companies limited by guarantee must be registered in New South Wales and have ACNC registration and/or DGR status • Indigenous Corporations must be registered with the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations • NSW Local Aboriginal Land Councils are eligible • Religious organisations operating in New South Wales are eligible • NSW non-government organisations established under their own Act of Parliament are eligible • A not-for-profit non-Aboriginal organisation may apply if partnering with a lead ACCO or Aboriginal business • Individuals and sole traders are not eligible • Federal and state government agencies and bodies are not eligible • NSW educational facilities including public schools, private schools and TAFE are not eligible • Local government organisations are not eligible • Unincorporated organisations without an eligible subcontracting organisation are not eligible • Organisations that have not met DCJ project requirements, including acquittal and reporting, in the previous two years are not eligible • Organisations with National Redress Scheme obligations that have not joined the scheme are not eligible • Organisations with overdue acquittals with DCJ are not eligible
Applicants must be able to enter into a grant funding agreement with the Department of Communities and Justice, have an Australian bank account, hold an active Australian Business Number, and maintain appropriate insurance including at least $10 million public liability insurance. Eligible applicants include registered Australian businesses, not-for-profit Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, and other incorporated organisations such as NSW Fair Trading approved not-for-profit incorporated associations, not-for-profit companies limited by guarantee registered in New South Wales with ACNC registration and/or DGR status, Indigenous Corporations registered with ORIC, NSW Local Aboriginal Land Councils, religious organisations operating in New South Wales, NSW non-government organisations established under their own Act of Parliament, and not-for-profit non-Aboriginal organisations partnering with a lead ACCO or Aboriginal business. Ineligible applicants include individuals and sole traders, federal and state government agencies and bodies, NSW educational facilities, local government organisations, unincorporated organisations without an eligible subcontracting organisation, organisations with unmet DCJ project requirements or overdue acquittals in the previous two years, organisations with unresolved National Redress Scheme obligations, and organisations without the required insurance.
