Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be a NSW Local Aboriginal Land Council under the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983 (NSW) • Applicant must be located in one of the targeted Local Government Areas: Ballina, Byron, Clarence Valley, Hawkesbury, Kyogle, Lismore, Richmond Valley or Tweed • Applicant must provide evidence of current public liability insurance of at least $10,000,000 • Stream 3 applicants must provide quotes and/or technical reports for the infrastructure component • Project must align with program outcomes • Project must be directly related to flood-damaged Aboriginal community infrastructure from the February to March 2022 events • Requested costs must not already be covered by insurance or other Australian or New South Wales Government programs • Applicants with unmet Aboriginal Affairs NSW grant acquittal or reporting requirements in the previous two years may need an auspice arrangement with the NSW Aboriginal Land Council
Applicants must be NSW Aboriginal Land Councils, specifically Local Aboriginal Land Councils established under the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983 (NSW), located within one of eight targeted Local Government Areas: Ballina, Byron, Clarence Valley, Hawkesbury, Kyogle, Lismore, Richmond Valley or Tweed. Applicants must provide evidence of current public liability insurance with minimum coverage of $10 million. Stream 3 applicants must provide quotes and/or technical reports for the infrastructure component. Projects must align with program outcomes and relate directly to flood-damaged Aboriginal community infrastructure from the February to March 2022 flood and storm events. Costs already covered by insurance or other government funding are ineligible. Organisations with unmet acquittal or reporting requirements from Aboriginal Affairs NSW grants in the previous two years may be required to partner with the NSW Aboriginal Land Council in an auspice arrangement.
