Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be a Local Aboriginal Land Council under the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983 (NSW). • Applicant must be located within one of the targeted Local Government Areas: Ballina, Byron, Clarence Valley, Hawkesbury, Kyogle, Lismore, Richmond Valley or Tweed. • Applicant must provide evidence of current public liability insurance with minimum coverage of $10,000,000. • Stream 2 applicants must provide a project plan. • Project must align with the program outcomes. • Applicants with unmet acquittal or reporting requirements for Aboriginal Affairs NSW grant funding in the previous two years must partner with the NSW Aboriginal Land Council in an auspice arrangement.
Applicants are eligible Local Aboriginal Land Councils under the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983 (NSW) located within one of eight targeted Local Government Areas: Ballina, Byron, Clarence Valley, Hawkesbury, Kyogle, Lismore, Richmond Valley and Tweed. Applicants must provide evidence of current public liability insurance with minimum coverage of $10 million and, for Stream 2, a project plan. Projects must align with program outcomes. Eligible Local Aboriginal Land Councils that have not met project requirements, including acquittal and reporting requirements, for any grant funding received from Aboriginal Affairs NSW in the previous two years will be required to partner with the NSW Aboriginal Land Council in an auspice arrangement.
