Who Can Apply

Current Australian Business Number required. Must be an established, large-scale food relief distribution service with warehousing, logistics capacity and charity partner networks. Application must be in a formal partnership with at least one other organisation and address at least two program objectives. Not eligible: for-profit companies, sole traders, individuals, charitable trusts, local government entities and unincorporated groups.
To be eligible, applications must respond to at least two program objectives, be submitted by an eligible organisation in a formal partnership with at least one other organisation, seek funding for eligible activities, and include mandatory attachments. Eligible organisations must be established, large-scale food relief distribution services with existing donor relationships, significant warehousing and logistics capacity, and a formal approach to supporting a network of charity partners. Organisations must have a current Australian Business Number and be either a not-for-profit entity, an Aboriginal entity incorporated under Commonwealth or Victorian legislation, or a social enterprise that is an incorporated entity with a clearly stated purpose related to supporting food relief or food security. Organisations must not have any overdue reports from other grant programs or service agreements managed by the department. Ineligible entities include unincorporated associations and groups, private for-profit companies, sole traders and individuals, charitable trusts, and local government entities. Auspice arrangements are not appropriate.
