Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be an Australian organisation with an ABN. • Eligible entities include companies, incorporated not-for-profit bodies, co-operatives, trusts and local government authorities. • Consortia or groups of organisations may apply if one eligible organisation is nominated as the lead organisation. • Applicant must be legally constituted and financially solvent. • Applicant must be Australia-based and meet Screen NSW general eligibility requirements. • Funding is for activities related to the opening night of an established film festival in New South Wales. • Eligible festival activities must be held between 22 November 2024 and 31 December 2025. • Individuals, partnerships, groups of individuals and unincorporated organisations cannot apply. • Government departments and agencies, schools, tertiary institutions and TAFE colleges cannot apply. • Previous Screen NSW or Create NSW recipients who have not met funding conditions or are overdue in acquitting prior funding cannot apply. • Festivals receiving more than $150,000 in New South Wales Government contribution cannot apply. • Festivals with an annual budget over $1,500,000 cannot apply. • Multi-disciplinary or cultural festivals are ineligible where screenings and screen culture make up less than 75% of programming activity.

Applicants must be legally constituted, financially solvent, Australia-based, and meet Screen NSW general eligibility requirements. Ineligible applicants include individuals, partnerships, groups of individuals, unincorporated organisations, government departments and agencies, primary and secondary schools, tertiary institutions, TAFE colleges, previous Screen NSW or Create NSW funding recipients who are overdue in acquitting prior funding or have not fulfilled funding conditions, festivals receiving a New South Wales Government contribution over $150,000, festivals with an annual budget over $1,500,000, and multi-disciplinary or cultural festivals where screenings and screen culture account for less than 75% of programming activity.
