Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be an eligible incorporated organisation, co-operative, Indigenous organisation, local council or section 355 committee, ACNC-registered trust, or public company limited by guarantee. • Applicant must be based in or registered for operation in New South Wales where applicable. • Application must be submitted through SmartyGrants. • Applicant must apply under its own legal name and ABN, if applicable. • Applicant must have acquitted CBP2019, CBP2020 and CBP2021 projects by 2023-10-27 unless an active approved extension is in place. • ACNC-listed organisations must have a current and up-to-date ACNC record. • Local councils and section 355 committees must provide dollar-for-dollar matched funding in cash. • Funding request must be between $5,000 and $150,000. • Project must be located in New South Wales. • Project must involve eligible capital works, freestanding equipment, or vehicle purchase/modification. • Project must be able to be completed by 2025-08-31. • Only one project location is permitted per application. • Applications for vehicle purchases must be separate from capital works and equipment applications. • Projects must not have commenced before 2023-10-27. • Development Application approval must be provided at application time where required. • Applications requesting $30,001 or above must include quotes. • Applications must include a detailed and itemised project budget for the full requested amount. • Capital works projects require property or landowner consent. • Applicant must hold current public liability insurance of at least $5 million. • Ineligible applicants include individuals, unincorporated organisations, for-profit commercial organisations, proprietary companies, government agencies, and organisations applying on behalf of another organisation.
Applicants must be eligible New South Wales-based incorporated not-for-profit entities, certain co-operatives and associations, Indigenous organisations, local councils and section 355 committees, trusts registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, or public companies limited by guarantee. Applications must be submitted through SmartyGrants under the applicant's own legal name and ABN where applicable. Applicants must have acquitted CBP2019, CBP2020 and CBP2021 projects by 27 October 2023 unless an approved extension is in place. Projects must be located in New South Wales, request between $5,000 and $150,000, involve eligible capital works, equipment or vehicle purchases, have one project location per application, and be capable of completion by 31 August 2025. Additional documentation may be required, including Development Application approval where required, quotes for requests of $30,001 and above, a detailed itemised budget, landowner consent for capital works, and public liability insurance. Local councils and section 355 committees must provide matched funding.
