Who is eligible for the Aboriginal Affairs NSW 2023-2024 Community and Place Grants?
- Be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO), or an unincorporated Aboriginal community group with an eligible auspice organisation.
- Applicants or their auspice organisation must be an eligible legal entity located in New South Wales.
- Must be able to enter into a funding agreement with Aboriginal Affairs NSW Premier’s Department.
- Must have an Australian bank account.
- Must have an Australian Business Number (ABN).
- Must hold public liability insurance of at least $10000000 per claim, or include the cost of insurance within the application.
- Projects must benefit a local Aboriginal community in New South Wales and not be state-wide or outside New South Wales.
- Projects should start by 2024-07-01 and must be completed by 2025-06-30.
- Individuals are not eligible.
- Incorporated not-for-profit organisations not controlled or operated by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are not eligible.
- Unincorporated groups not led by Aboriginal people are not eligible.
- Federal and State Government agencies and bodies are not eligible.
- NSW Public Schools are not eligible.
- For-profit organisations, including Aboriginal businesses, are not eligible.
- Unincorporated organisations or groups without an eligible auspicing organisation are not eligible.
- Organisations that have not met project requirements, including acquittal and reporting, for funding received from Aboriginal Affairs NSW in the previous two years are not eligible.
- Organisations with redress sanctions under the National Redress Scheme are not eligible.
