Who Can Apply

• Applicants must be invited to apply by the department. • Invitation occurs after the department identifies a critical or urgent need related to unforeseen and exceptional circumstances affecting service delivery. • Existing CHSP providers are eligible if they have an executed Whole of Government grant agreement with the Commonwealth to deliver CHSP services. • The CHSP grant agreement must be due to expire on 30 June 2025 or 30 June 2027. • Category 1 supports emergency one-off funding. • Category 2 supports critical need for provider viability through recurrent funding. • Category 3 supports service shortages arising from provider relinquishments, closure, or cessation of other Commonwealth funded services. • Invited non-CHSP providers must be existing Commonwealth funded providers. • Eligible invited non-CHSP providers may include approved Residential Aged Care and/or Home Care Packages providers. • Eligible invited non-CHSP providers may include registered Department of Veterans’ Affairs providers. • Eligible invited non-CHSP providers may include registered National Disability Insurance Scheme providers. • Eligible invited non-CHSP providers may include Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations.
Organisations are eligible only if invited to apply by the department after it identifies a critical or urgent need related to unforeseen and exceptional circumstances affecting service delivery. Eligible invited applicants include existing CHSP providers with an executed Whole of Government grant agreement with the Commonwealth to deliver CHSP services due to expire on 30 June 2025 or 30 June 2027, across the emergency, critical need-provider viability, and service shortages categories. Invited non-CHSP providers must be existing Commonwealth funded providers, including approved Residential Aged Care and/or Home Care Packages providers, registered Department of Veterans’ Affairs providers, registered National Disability Insurance Scheme providers, or Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations.
