Who Can Apply

• Eligible applicants include local councils. • Eligible applicants include county councils. • Eligible applicants include joint organisations established under an Act of Parliament. • Eligible applicants include incorporated regional organisations of councils. • Where multiple councils collaborate, one eligible organisation must apply as the lead agency. • Public land managers may only apply in partnership with a lead council or other eligible organisation, which must be the principal applicant. • For streams 2 to 6, actions generally must be identified in a certified Coastal Management Program or Coastal Zone Emergency Action Subplan, except for exempt activities. • For streams 1 to 5, retrospective, underway, already contracted, tendered or completed projects are not eligible.
Eligible applicants are local councils, county councils, joint organisations established under an Act of Parliament, and incorporated regional organisations of councils. Where multiple councils work together within the same coastal sediment compartment or estuary, one eligible council, joint organisation or regional organisation of councils must apply as the lead agency and take responsibility for the funding agreement, financial management and reporting. Public land managers such as Crown reserve trusts or location-specific New South Wales government authorities may participate only in partnership with a lead council or other eligible organisation, with the eligible organisation acting as principal applicant and assuming overall responsibility. For implementation and emergency streams, projects generally must be identified in a certified coastal management program or coastal zone emergency action subplan, except for exempt activities. Retrospective, underway, already contracted, tendered or completed projects are not eligible for streams 1 to 5.
