Who Can Apply

• Eligible applicants include not-for-profit groups, fishing clubs, community organisations, individuals, New South Wales councils, and non-government organisations • Applicants must undertake approved fish stocking activities in New South Wales public waters to benefit recreational fisheries • Applicants must contribute between $2,000 and $6,000 per application • Funding is provided on a two dollars for one dollar community contribution basis • Fish must be supplied by an accredited fish hatchery • Stocking sites must be publicly accessible • Receiving waters must be suitable for fish survival and provide appropriate habitat • Stocking sites must be within the natural range of the species • Only one application per individual or group may be submitted • Applicants must act under the authority of a fish stocking permit issued by the Department • State or Federal Government organisations cannot apply • Organisations or businesses that may or will realise a commercial gain from the project cannot apply • Only Murray Cod and/or Golden Perch stocking projects are eligible • Costs eligible for funding are limited to fish purchase and delivery

Ineligible projects include stocking species other than Murray Cod and/or Golden Perch, stocking publicly inaccessible waters, using unaccredited hatcheries, or proposals that do not meet assessment or funding requirements.
