Who Can Apply

• Eligible applicants include not-for-profit groups, fishing clubs, community organisations, individuals, New South Wales councils, and non-government organisations • Applicants must apply for approved Australian Bass stocking activities in New South Wales public waters • Applicants must contribute between $2,000 and $6,000 per application • Grant funds can only be used for fish purchase and delivery • Fish must be supplied by an accredited fish hatchery • Stocking sites must be publicly accessible • Receiving waters must be suitable for fish survival and provide appropriate habitat • Stocking sites must be within the natural range of the species • Only one application per individual or group may be submitted • Applicants must act under the authority of a fish stocking permit issued by the Department • State or Federal Government organisations cannot apply • Organisations or businesses that may realise a commercial gain from the project cannot apply • Applications to stock species other than Australian Bass are not funded • Applications to stock publicly inaccessible waters are not funded • Applications using fish from unaccredited hatcheries are not funded
