• Applicant must be a not-for-profit organisation with an ABN responsible for operating and/or maintaining the infrastructure • Schools may apply but must consider whether the infrastructure is accessible to the public outside school hours • Local councils may apply but must cash-match the funding amount requested • Individuals cannot apply • Organisations or businesses that may or will realise a commercial gain from the project cannot apply • Project must be infrastructure-based and located in New South Wales • Project must benefit New South Wales communities and economy • Infrastructure must be accessible and available to the public most of the time • Funding request must be within the category funding range • Infrastructure works must have development approval or written exemption • Application must be submitted using the online application form • Work undertaken or commenced before funding decisions are made is not eligible • Day-to-day activities, existing services, recurring services, and projects with commercial outputs are not eligible

Ineligible projects include day-to-day activities, existing services or initiatives already underway, work commenced before funding decisions, projects with commercial outputs, recurring previously funded services, and projects not undertaken in New South Wales or not benefiting New South Wales communities and economy.
