Who Can Apply

• Lead applicant must hold an active Australian Business Number (ABN). • Lead applicant must be an eligible organisation as outlined in the guidelines. • Lead applicant must own, or have all necessary rights to use, the intellectual property required for the project. • Lead applicant must hold all legally required insurances, including $20 million public liability insurance and workers compensation. • Lead applicant must materially comply with employment obligations, industrial agreements, awards, codes of conduct, and workplace health and safety legislation. • Lead applicant must not be subject to insolvency events such as winding up, dissolution, or appointment of a receiver or liquidator. • Lead applicant must not be listed on the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade sanctions list. • Lead applicant must disclose relevant legal proceedings or investigations. • Lead applicant must disclose Australian Government and state or territory grant applications related to the project. • Project must be based in New South Wales. • Project must request funding between $250,000 and $5,000,000. • Project must be expected to be completed within 3 years of commencement. • Project must accelerate commercialisation or scale-up of a clean technology at TRL 6-9 and with CRI less than 5 in New South Wales. • Eligible activities include pilots, demonstrations, commercialisation guidance, scaling production or marketing, and hiring experienced executives. • International applicants must be willing to establish an Australian incorporated entity and have a New South Wales-based project sponsor at full application stage. • Lead applicant must have aggregated annual turnover of less than $20 million for each of the previous 3 financial years, subject to the university spin-out exception described in the guidelines. • Applicant must demonstrate the project would not proceed without New South Wales Government funding. • Applicant must provide at least 1:1 matched co-contribution funding from other sources, with in-kind contributions not eligible.

International organisations must be willing to establish an Australian incorporated entity and have a New South Wales-based project sponsor at full application stage. The lead applicant must also have aggregated annual turnover of less than $20 million for each of the 3 financial years prior to application, demonstrate that the project would not proceed without New South Wales Government funding, and provide at least matched cash co-contribution on a 1:1 basis.
