Who Can Apply

Eligible applicants are Local Government Councils and eligible not-for-profit organisations. Applicants must hold applicable insurance including Public Liability and may submit only one application. Ineligible applicants include schools, playgroups, early childhood service providers, for-profit organisations applying independently, and individuals/sole traders. Funded events must be free, public, for Victorian children aged 0-12 years, and delivered during Children's Week 2025.
Applicants must be either a Local Government Council or an eligible not-for-profit organisation in Victoria, and must hold applicable insurance including Public Liability. Only one application is permitted per organisation. Local Government Councils may apply for up to $700, while other eligible organisations may apply for up to $1,000. Eligible not-for-profit status may be assessed using Australian Business Register details, deductible gift recipient status or entity type, incorporation or auspicing arrangements, and other governing documents. Ineligible organisations include for-profit entities applying independently, kindergartens and their parent advisory groups or approved providers, long day care services and approved providers, occasional care services and approved providers, outside school hours care services and approved providers, family day care services and approved providers, playgroups, schools, and individuals or sole traders. Funded activities must be free of charge to Victorian children aged 0-12 years, available to the public, demonstrate an educational outcome or benefit, explore the 2025 Children's Week theme, avoid promoting commercial interests, and occur within Children's Week.
