Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be a council, business or cultural institution. • Project must be located in an eligible CBD or urban centre: Sydney, Bankstown, Blacktown, Campbelltown, Chatswood, Fairfield, Hurstville, Kogarah, Liverpool, Macquarie Park, Manly, Newcastle, North Sydney, Parramatta, Penrith, Sydney Olympic Park or Wollongong. • Project must primarily revitalise CBDs by attracting people and increasing connectedness and engagement. • Project must align with the NSW Government’s NSW 24-Hour Economy Strategy, Destination NSW Visitor Economy Strategy, and/or the Open Spaces program. • Application must include applicant details including ABN or other identifier and primary business activities. • Application must include project description, total cost, grant amount requested, project location, scope, target group, expected benefits and delivery timeframes. • Application must include implementation details, project plan, adverse weather plan, communications and marketing strategy, risk management plan and supporting documents. • Applicant must provide evidence of experience delivering similar projects. • Applicant must confirm co-contributions and partnerships where applicable. • Applicant must provide financial statements for three continuous financial years, including an audited statement for the last financial year, or other evidence of financial viability.
Applicants could be councils, businesses or cultural institutions located in or proposing projects for eligible CBDs and urban centres: Sydney, Bankstown, Blacktown, Campbelltown, Chatswood, Fairfield, Hurstville, Kogarah, Liverpool, Macquarie Park, Manly, Newcastle, North Sydney, Parramatta, Penrith, Sydney Olympic Park and Wollongong. Projects had to have the primary purpose of revitalising CBDs by attracting people and increasing connectedness and engagement, and had to align with the NSW Government’s NSW 24-Hour Economy Strategy, Destination NSW Visitor Economy Strategy, and/or the Open Spaces program. Applications also needed to provide applicant details including ABN or other identifier, project description, budget, location, implementation details, project plan, evidence of experience, co-contributions, partnership confirmation where relevant, and financial statements or other evidence of financial viability.
