Who Can Apply

• Must be an Aboriginal business that is at least 50% Aboriginal owned, managed and controlled • Must have an ABN and be GST-registered • Must have been trading for at least 2 years • Must be located in or operating within the Cumberland Plain Conservation Plan area • Must work in one or more eligible sectors including land and cultural land management, natural resource management, ecological restoration, environmental and site impact assessments, cultural heritage and signage, pest and weed management, landscape and groundworks contracting, Biodiversity Assessment Method services, cultural tourism and education, or wildlife fencing • Must attend a free one-on-one consultation with a Yarpa Business Coach before applying • Must provide verification of Aboriginal business status, such as Supply Nation registration/certification, NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce registration, or other relevant documentation • If located outside the CPCP area, must provide evidence of work carried out within the CPCP area • Must demonstrate tax and legal compliance are up to date • Must provide quotes, budget information, and required supporting documentation • Local Aboriginal Land Councils are not eligible • Non-Aboriginal businesses are not eligible
The program is open only to Aboriginal businesses located within the Cumberland Plain Conservation Plan area or able to demonstrate they operate within that area. Eligible businesses must be at least 50% Aboriginal owned, managed and controlled, have an active ABN, be GST-registered, have been trading for at least 2 years, and work in one or more eligible sectors such as land and cultural land management, natural resource management, ecological restoration, environmental and site impact assessments, cultural heritage and signage, pest and weed management, landscape and groundworks contracting, Biodiversity Assessment Method services, cultural tourism and education, or wildlife fencing. Applicants must attend a free one-on-one consultation with a Yarpa Business Coach before applying and provide evidence of Aboriginal business verification, tax and legal compliance, quotes, budget information, and other supporting documentation. Local Aboriginal Land Councils and non-Aboriginal businesses are not eligible.
