Who Can Apply

Must have an active Australian Business Number and undertake the project in Australia. Eligible applicants include incorporated trading or financial corporations, foreign corporations, incorporated trustees, State or Territory agencies, and Commonwealth authorities. Applicants must show board or CEO support and evidence they can fund their share of project costs. Individuals, partnerships, unincorporated associations, income tax exempt entities, and most trusts are not eligible.
To be eligible, applicants must have an Australian Business Number (ABN). Eligible entities include an entity incorporated in Australia and a trading or financial corporation, a foreign corporation, an incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust where the trustee is also a trading, financial or foreign corporation, an Australian State or Territory Government agency or body, or an authority of the Commonwealth such as CSIRO. For Australian incorporated trading or financial corporations, the trading or financial activities must be a sufficiently significant or substantial activity of the corporation. Applicants must provide evidence from their board, chief executive officer or equivalent that the project is supported and that they can complete the project and meet costs not covered by the grant. Applicants must also provide evidence of how they will fund their share of project costs, such as an accountant declaration. Foreign corporations and/or their subcontractors must not be on the Consolidated List. Joint applications are acceptable if the lead applicant is eligible. Ineligible applicants include income tax exempt entities, individuals, partnerships, unincorporated associations, organisations not included in the guidelines, and trusts unless applying through an incorporated trustee. Projects must be located in Australia and completed by 30 June 2025.
