Who Can Apply

Must have an active ABN and be registered for GST. Must be an incorporated Australian entity, eligible government body, corporate Commonwealth entity, or incorporated trustee. Project must be located in Australia and involve research, development and demonstration of novel or emerging CO2 capture, utilisation or removal technologies. Project must have at least $2 million in eligible expenditure and be completed by 31 March 2031.
Applicants must be eligible entities with an Australian Business Number and GST registration. Eligible entities include an entity incorporated in Australia, an incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust where trading activities are sufficiently significant, an Australian state or territory government agency or body, or a corporate Commonwealth entity. Ineligible applicants include individuals, partnerships, Regional Development Australia Committees, unincorporated associations, and trusts unless applying through an incorporated trustee. Applicants and project partners must not be listed on the National Redress Scheme list of institutions that have not joined or signified intent to join, and employers with 100 or more employees must comply with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012. Projects must be located in Australia, aim to reduce, utilise and/or remove greenhouse gas emissions, involve research, development and demonstration of novel or emerging CO2 capture, utilisation or removal technologies, not be solely a feasibility or engineering study, have at least $2 million in eligible expenditure, not have been funded under Round 1 of the program, and be completed by 31 March 2031.
