- Equipment cannot have been ordered, procured, leased or installed before rebate approval
- Equipment or technology must divert or avoid new tonnes of waste going to landfill, or for eligible food waste projects improve recovery, reduce contamination or improve service efficiency and/or costs
- Equipment or technology must meet EPA rebate funding thresholds
- Equipment must reside on a site in New South Wales and divert waste generated in New South Wales
- Purchased equipment must be operated and maintained for the term of the Funding Deed
- Leased equipment must be leased, operated and maintained for at least 12 months from installation
- Applicant must provide a minimum 50% monetary co-contribution
- Equipment must have at least a 12-month warranty and meet Australian Standards
