Who Can Apply

• Have a current Australian Business Number (ABN). • Be a financially viable commercial enterprise based in New South Wales that is an Australian registered company, or will become a New South Wales business entity before entering a funding agreement. • Alternatively, be an individual who agrees to form such an entity before entering a legally binding funding agreement. • Alternatively, be a New South Wales public research organisation applying through its technology transfer office or chief executive (or equivalent) that will become a separate entity before entering a funding agreement. • Be based in New South Wales and demonstrate that project activities will take place in New South Wales. • Seek to test or pilot bushfire technology that is field-ready and has reached a minimum Technology Readiness Level of 6. • Hold the intellectual property or the rights to commercialise the device or system. • Have support from an end-user New South Wales government agency to be recommended for funding. • Use grant funding only on activities undertaken within New South Wales, except for equipment purchased to bring into New South Wales. • Be subject to fit and proper person and reputational risk considerations at the department's discretion.
