- Applicant must be a financially viable commercial enterprise based in New South Wales, an individual who will form such an entity, or a New South Wales public research organisation that will become a separate entity before contracting.
- Applicant must have an active Australian Business Number (ABN).
- Commercial enterprise applicants must be an Australian-registered company.
- Applicant must be headquartered in New South Wales.
- Most project activities must take place in New South Wales.
- Technology must have reached at least Technology Readiness Level 3 and not exceed Technology Readiness Level 7.
- Applicant must hold the intellectual property or rights to commercialise the device or system.
- Any funding from the New South Wales Physical Sciences Fund must not duplicate activities in the application.
