Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be a financially viable commercial enterprise based in New South Wales, an individual who will form such an entity, or a New South Wales public research organisation that will become a separate entity before contracting. • Applicant must have an active Australian Business Number (ABN). • Commercial enterprise applicants must be an Australian-registered company. • Applicant must be headquartered in New South Wales. • Most project activities must take place in New South Wales. • Technology must have reached at least Technology Readiness Level 3 and not exceed Technology Readiness Level 7. • Applicant must hold the intellectual property or rights to commercialise the device or system. • Any funding from the New South Wales Physical Sciences Fund must not duplicate activities in the application.
Eligible applicants include a financially viable commercial enterprise based in New South Wales that has an Australian Business Number and is an Australian-registered company; an individual who agrees to form such an entity before entering into a funding agreement; or a New South Wales public research organisation applying through its technology transfer office or chief executive that will become a separate entity before entering into a funding agreement. Applicants must have an Australian Business Number, be headquartered in New South Wales, demonstrate that most project activities will take place in New South Wales, show that the technology is at minimum TRL 3 and no higher than TRL 7, hold the intellectual property or rights to commercialise the device or system, and demonstrate that any NSW Physical Sciences Fund support does not duplicate the proposed activities.
