Applicants must have an active Australian Business Number and be either an entity incorporated in Australia, a partnership, or a sole trader. Applications must include a signed declaration that the startup is female founded and certification that it will remain majority owned and led by women for the duration of the grant, along with all mandatory attachments. Applicants seeking more than 50% grant funding, up to 70%, must provide evidence that one or more special circumstances apply, such as being headquartered in a regional area, being an Indigenous business or having an Indigenous founder, having a founder with disability, or having a founder who migrated to Australia as a refugee or humanitarian entrant. Unincorporated associations and government bodies are not eligible.
