• Applicant can be a local council, government agency, community group, or private sector organisation • Must own, manage, or operate public boating infrastructure accessible to the general boating public • Must own or have tenure over the asset, or provide landowner support and approval • Must have an ABN or ACN number • Project must be maintenance or repair of existing public boating infrastructure • Project must directly benefit boaters • Upgrades or capital improvements are not eligible • Emergency repairs for storm or flood damage are not eligible • Must provide evidence of at least 25% contribution to total project cost • Must provide maintenance history and a future maintenance plan • Must provide proof of ownership, tenure, or landowner permission • Application must be submitted online through SmartyGrants
Applicants may include councils, government agencies, community groups, and private sector entities. Applicants must own, manage, or operate public boating infrastructure that is accessible to the general boating public. They must either own or have tenure over the assets, or provide clear evidence of landowner support and approval to carry out the proposed maintenance works. Applicants need an ABN or ACN number. Eligible projects are maintenance and repair works only for existing public boating infrastructure; upgrades, capital improvements, emergency repairs from storms or floods, and works to assets that do not directly benefit boaters are excluded. Applicants must provide evidence of at least a 25% contribution to total project cost, maintenance history and plan, ownership or tenure evidence, and supporting documentation.
