• Student is from a rural area and required to board to attend an eligible school • Student is in Years 7 to 12 • Student is disadvantaged by low family income • Student is disadvantaged by geographical isolation • Student has been accepted at a NSW public specialist school or an agricultural boarding school, or needs to board at a school term hostel to access a NSW public secondary school • Student must not be receiving Assistance for Isolated Children (AIC) • Student must not be receiving ABSTUDY • Student must not be receiving Youth Allowance from Centrelink
Applicants must be eligible students from rural areas who are required to board to attend NSW public specialist high schools. Scholarships are available for students in Years 7 to 12 who are disadvantaged by low family income and geographical isolation. Students must have been accepted either at a NSW public specialist school or an agricultural boarding school, or need to board at a school term hostel to access a NSW public secondary school. Students cannot apply if they receive Assistance for Isolated Children (AIC), ABSTUDY, or Youth Allowance from Centrelink.
