Who Can Apply

• Must be a company seeking equity investment under the Biomedical Translation Fund • Must be early-stage and working on, or planning to work on, a biomedical discovery through BTF investment • Should have a majority of employees and assets inside Australia, or plan to use the whole of the initial investment within Australia • Must have average annual revenue over the previous two years below $25 million per year • Must have an Australian business number (ABN) • Must be incorporated under the Corporations Act 2001 • Must provide all goods or services produced to persons who are not Associates • Eligibility and investment decisions are determined by licensed private sector fund managers • Not all eligible companies will receive investment
At the time of the first investment, the company must either already be working on a biomedical discovery or plan to work on a biomedical discovery through a BTF investment. The company should either have a majority of its employees and assets inside Australia or plan to use the whole of the initial investment within Australia. It must also have average annual revenue over the previous two years below $25 million per year, have an Australian business number, be incorporated under the Corporations Act 2001, and provide all goods or services it produces to persons who are not Associates. Investment decisions are made by 3 licensed private sector fund managers, and not all eligible companies will receive investment.
