Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be a business with a commercial and industrial waste service at a site in New South Wales. • Applicant must have a valid ABN. • Applicant must employ one or more full-time employees in New South Wales. • Applicant must currently send commercial and industrial waste to landfill in New South Wales or process/recycle commercial and industrial waste generated by businesses. • Eligible businesses can include registered charities, not-for-profits, public entities including schools and hospitals, and government organisations. • Individuals cannot apply. • The application must be submitted by an eligible applicant. • Funded equipment or technology must be installed on the applicant's property and commence operation within 3 months of signing a Funding Deed. • Equipment or technology must support the program objectives. • Equipment cannot be ordered, procured, leased or installed before the rebate application is approved. • Equipment or technology must divert or avoid new tonnes of waste going to landfill, or for food waste complement an existing service by increasing recovery, reducing contamination or improving efficiency/costs. • Equipment or technology must meet EPA rebate funding thresholds. • Equipment must reside on a site in New South Wales and divert waste generated in New South Wales. • Purchased equipment must be operated and maintained for the term of the Funding Deed. • Leased equipment must be leased, operated and maintained for a minimum of 12 months from installation. • Applicant must provide a minimum 50% monetary co-contribution toward purchase or lease costs.
