Who Can Apply

- Employer must be a non-government entity with a good workplace safety and industrial relations record. - Job must be ongoing and mainly located in an eligible Queensland local government area. - Employee must be a permanent Australian resident living in Queensland and meet unemployment and prior employment conditions. - Support includes additional criteria for apprentices, trainees, youth and people with disability.
Available to eligible non-government employers who hire an eligible employee on or before 30 June 2025. Employers must not be government entities, must have a good workplace safety and industrial relations record, and must show a genuine commitment to ongoing employment. Eligible jobs must be mainly located in eligible Queensland local government areas and be ongoing paid full-time, ongoing paid part-time, suitable disability employment with approved benchmark hours, or a registered and eligible Queensland apprenticeship. Eligible employees must be permanent residents of Australia residing principally in Queensland, meet unemployment period requirements for the relevant payment, not have worked for the employer in the previous 52 weeks, be employed for at least four weeks but not more than 12 weeks when the initial payment application is made, not be current or recent full-time students, not displace existing workers, and if they have disability, be engaged in mainstream employment. Additional criteria apply for apprentice and trainee boost payments and youth boost payments.
