Who is eligible for the Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) Rebate Program – Round 2?
- Must be the registered owner of a crewed aircraft operating under VFR or IFR and listed in an approved Australian registration database
- Eligible registration databases include the CASA Australian aircraft register and approved Australian Sport Aviation organisation databases such as RAAus, ASRA and SAFA
- Must purchase and/or install eligible ADS-B equipment in the registered aircraft within the specified eligible dates
- For ADS-B-OUT functionality or ADS-B EC devices, purchase date must be after 20 December 2021
- For ADS-B-IN functionality or ADS-B-IN and OUT devices, purchase date must be on or after 1 June 2024
- Must provide a clear copy of the aircraft registration certificate showing the applicant is the registered owner
- Must provide a paid Australian Tax Invoice or equivalent with evidence of payment
- For ADS-B installations, must provide a signed declaration by an approved installer
- Must declare that the applicant is the registered owner, incurred the eligible expenditure, the aircraft is located in Australia, and installation was undertaken in Australia if applicable
- If a grant was paid under ADS-B Round 1, a further application is only allowed where the new equipment adds ADS-B IN functionality not previously available or upgrades from an EC device to installed equipment
- Ineligible if the aircraft or device has already received a grant under this program unless the stated exception applies
- Ineligible if the applicant organisation or project partner is on the National Redress Scheme list of institutions that have not joined or signified intent to join
- Ineligible if the applicant is an employer of 100 or more employees that has not complied with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012
