Who Can Apply

• Be the registered owner of a crewed aircraft operating under VFR or IFR and shown in an approved Australian registration database • Aircraft may be registered on the CASA Australian aircraft register or with approved Australian Sport Aviation organisations including Recreational Aviation Australia, Australian Sport Rotorcraft Association, or Sports Aviation Federation of Australia • Have purchased and/or installed eligible ADS-B equipment within the specified eligible dates • For ADS-B OUT or ADS-B EC devices, purchase date must be after 2021-12-20 • For ADS-B IN or ADS-B IN and OUT devices, purchase date must be on or after 2024-06-01 • Provide a clear copy of the aircraft registration certificate showing the applicant is the registered owner • Provide a paid Australian Tax Invoice or equivalent with evidence of payment • For installed ADS-B, provide a signed declaration by an approved installer • Declare that you are the registered owner, incurred the eligible expenditure, the aircraft is located in Australia, and installation was undertaken in Australia if applicable • If funded under Round 1, you may only apply where the new equipment adds ADS-B IN functionality not previously available or upgrades from an EC device to installed equipment • You cannot apply if the aircraft or device has already received a grant under this program unless one of the stated exceptions applies • You cannot apply if you or your project partner are on the National Redress Scheme list of institutions that have not joined or signified intent to join • You cannot apply if you are an employer of 100 or more employees and have not complied with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012

The applicant must have purchased and/or installed eligible ADS-B equipment within the specified date windows, provide a registration certificate, paid Australian tax invoice or equivalent with evidence of payment, and for installed ADS-B provide a signed declaration by an approved installer. Applicants must declare that they are the registered owner, incurred the eligible expenditure, the aircraft is located in Australia, and installation was undertaken in Australia if applicable. Applicants are ineligible if the aircraft or device has already received a grant under this program unless the later equipment adds ADS-B IN functionality not previously available or upgrades from an EC device to installed equipment. Ineligible applicants also include organisations on the National Redress Scheme non-participation list and employers of 100 or more employees that have not complied with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012.
