Who Can Apply

• Be the registered owner of a crewed aircraft operating under VFR or IFR and listed in an approved Australian registration database • Aircraft may be registered on the CASA Australian aircraft register or with approved Australian Sport Aviation organisations including RAAus, ASRA or SAFA • Purchase and/or install eligible ADS-B equipment in the registered aircraft • For ADS-B-OUT or ADS-B EC devices, equipment must have been purchased after 20 December 2021 • For ADS-B-IN or ADS-B-IN and OUT devices, equipment must have been purchased on or after 1 June 2024 • If funded under ADS-B Round 1, only eligible where the new equipment adds ADS-B IN functionality or upgrades from an EC device to installed equipment • Provide a clear copy of the aircraft registration certificate showing the applicant is the registered owner • Provide paid Australian tax invoice(s) or equivalent with evidence of payment • For ADS-B installations, provide a signed declaration by an approved installer • Declare that you are the registered owner, incurred the eligible expenditure, the aircraft is located in Australia, and installation was undertaken in Australia if applicable • Eligible installed ADS-B projects must include purchase and installation by an approved installer • Eligible ADS-B EC or portable ADS-B IN projects must include purchase of eligible equipment • Cannot apply if the aircraft or device has already received a grant under this program unless the later equipment adds ADS-B IN functionality or upgrades from EC to installed equipment • Cannot apply if the applicant organisation or project partner is on the National Redress Scheme list of institutions that have not joined or signified intent to join • Cannot apply if an employer of 100 or more employees has not complied with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012
Applicants must be the registered owner of a crewed aircraft operating under Visual Flight Rules (VFR) or Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) and shown in an approved Australian registration database, including the CASA Australian aircraft register or an approved Australian Sport Aviation organisation database. The applicant must have purchased and/or installed eligible ADS-B equipment in the registered aircraft within the specified date windows. For ADS-B-OUT or ADS-B EC devices, purchase must be after 20 December 2021. For ADS-B-IN or ADS-B-IN and OUT devices, purchase must be on or after 1 June 2024. If a grant was previously paid under ADS-B Round 1, the applicant may only apply if the later equipment adds ADS-B IN functionality not previously available or upgrades from an EC device to installed equipment. Applications must include a registration certificate showing the applicant is the registered owner, paid Australian tax invoice(s) or equivalent with evidence of payment, and for ADS-B installations a signed declaration by an approved installer. The applicant must declare that they are the registered owner, incurred the eligible expenditure, the aircraft is located in Australia, and installation was undertaken in Australia if applicable. Ineligible applicants include aircraft or devices that have already received a grant under this program unless the later equipment adds ADS-B IN functionality or upgrades from EC to installed equipment, organisations on the National Redress Scheme non-participating institutions list, and employers of 100 or more employees that have not complied with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012.
