Only NHMRC Administering Institutions may apply. Projects must be joint Australia-Switzerland research collaborations. Applications must meet all requirements in the 2026 NHMRC-SNSF Guidelines. Australia-based applicants must use Sapphire and SNSF Portal processes.
Applications will only be accepted from NHMRC Administering Institutions. Applications must satisfy all the requirements set out in the 2026 NHMRC-SNSF Guidelines. Proposals are to be jointly prepared by Swiss and Australia-based applicants and must involve at least one partner based in Switzerland and one based in Australia. The Australia-based main applicant (CIA) must submit the research proposal, as submitted to SNSF, as part of their application to NHMRC through Sapphire unless otherwise advised by NHMRC. All Australia-based research team members will be required to register for an SNSF Portal account.
