Who Can Apply

Eligible applicants include government collecting institutions, incorporated not-for-profit collecting institutions, certain incorporated touring bodies, and MONA. Exhibitions may be single-venue or multi-venue. Minimum exhibition value is 25000000 for fine art or 10000000 for museological exhibitions. Exhibitions must not be eligible for a state indemnity scheme, and applicants must not have outstanding AGIEI reports, acquittals, or breaches.
Eligible applicants include Commonwealth, state and territory government collecting institutions; incorporated not-for-profit public collecting institutions; incorporated not-for-profit bodies specialising in touring significant art and cultural collections; and Moorilla Estate Pty Ltd, trading as Museum of Old and New Art (MONA). Applications may be for single-venue or multi-venue exhibitions. To be eligible, the cultural material in the exhibition must have a minimum value of 25000000 for fine art exhibitions or 10000000 for museological exhibitions. The exhibition must not be eligible for support through a state indemnity scheme. Organisations with outstanding reports or financial acquittals from the AGIEI program, or otherwise in breach of an AGIEI funding arrangement, are not eligible. Applications are sought for exhibitions commencing on or after 2027-01-01.
