Who Can Apply

• Lead applicant must be an industry organisation applying as the Australian lead partner. • Project must include at least one Austrian project partner. • Austrian project partner must also apply for funding under the Austrian program. • Project must have at least 600000 in eligible project expenditure. • Grant covers up to 25% of eligible project expenditure. • Australian or Austrian project cost cannot exceed 60% of total project cost. • Project activities must be undertaken in both Australia and Austria. • Project must target eligible sectors: ironmaking and steelmaking, chemicals manufacturing, lime and cement, or alumina and aluminium. • Project must be directly linked to a physical demonstration or pilot test plant. • Project must be within Technology Readiness Level 5 to 8. • Joint or consortia applications are permitted, but the lead must be an industry organisation. • Mandatory attachments and partner letters of support are required. • Cash contributions cannot come from other Commonwealth Government grants.

Projects must include at least one Austrian project partner, and that Austrian partner must also apply for funding under the Austrian program. Projects must have at least AUD 600,000 in eligible project expenditure, with the Australian grant covering up to 25% of total eligible project expenditure. The total Australian or Austrian project cost may not exceed 60% of the total project cost. Activities must be undertaken in both Australia and Austria.
