Who is eligible for the 2026 Regional Arts Touring Round 1?
- Individuals must be 18 years or older.
- Individual applicants must have an active ABN or be administered at time of contracting if successful.
- Individual applicants must have lived in New South Wales for at least 12 months.
- For groups without legal status, the lead applicant must be 18 years or older.
- For groups without legal status, the lead applicant must have an active ABN or be administered at time of contracting if successful.
- For groups without legal status, the majority of members must have been located in New South Wales for the past 12 months.
- Unincorporated groups must have a written and signed agreement outlining roles, responsibilities and acceptance of the proposed project.
- Organisations with legal status such as companies, associations and partnerships may apply.
- Local government authorities must be a distinct business unit based in New South Wales.
- The person submitting the application must have authority to act on behalf of the organisation or entity.
- All successful applicants must provide an active ABN with a nominated bank account or details of a funds administrator.
- Individuals must have a sole trader ABN or a private company ABN where the individual is the sole director, or use a funds administrator.
- Organisations with legal status must have an ABN matching the entity name and a nominated bank account.
- Funding requests must not exceed 90% of project costs.
- Applicants must contribute at least 10% cash or in-kind toward the tour or project.
- Projects must focus on arts and culture and directly benefit regional New South Wales artists, arts and cultural workers and/or regional communities and audiences through arts-led touring activities.
- The project must start after 2026-09-01.
- The project must be completed by 2028-09-01.
- Only one application may be submitted to this round.
- Applicants successful in the previous round of Regional Arts Touring cannot apply.
- Applicants cannot have already received Create NSW or Sound NSW funding for the same part of the project.
- Applicants cannot be state or federal government departments or agencies, including state cultural institutions.
- Schools and educational institutions cannot apply.
- Key Festivals, State Significant Organisations and National Performing Arts Partnership Organisations cannot apply.
- Projects related to filmmaking, screen production, mainstream animation, film festivals or contemporary music are ineligible.
- People employed by Create NSW, or employed there within the last 12 months, cannot apply.
