Arts OutWest Country Arts Support Program (CASP) is a small annual funding round supporting arts and cultural activities in the New South Wales Central West. It provides grants of up to $3,000 for eligible individuals, groups, organisations, local government authorities and arts-based businesses delivering activities in the Arts OutWest region during 2025.

Who Can Apply

• Applicant must reside or have their main place of practice within the Arts OutWest region. • Eligible locations are Bathurst Regional, Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra, Forbes, Lachlan, Lithgow City, Mid-Western Regional, Oberon, Orange, Parkes and Weddin. • Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organisations, groups or collectives, local government authorities, arts-based businesses and individuals. • Applicant must discuss the proposal with Arts OutWest staff before applying. • Activities must occur in the Arts OutWest service area. • Projects for this round must occur between 2025-01-01 and 2025-12-31. • Funding must be primarily used for artists' or arts workers' fees and expenses. • Activities with Aboriginal cultural elements must include a letter of support or reference contact from a suitable Aboriginal organisation, group or business. • Activities must be covered by public liability insurance. • Commercial entities, arts businesses and individuals must show positive impact beyond immediate financial benefit. • Ineligible applicants include those outside the region, state and federal government departments, schools, applicants with overdue acquittals, and applicants who have not discussed their application with Arts OutWest. • Ineligible costs and projects include capital works, core equipment purchases, competitions, prizes, adjudication fees, fundraising events, general sponsorship, core administration costs, curriculum-related activities, previously funded CASP activities, duplicate Create NSW-funded activities, commenced or completed projects, and ongoing operating expenses.
Applicants must be people or organisations whose residence or main place of practice is within one of the 12 council areas in the Arts OutWest region: Bathurst Regional, Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra, Forbes, Lachlan, Lithgow, Mid-Western, Oberon, Orange, Parkes and Weddin. Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organisations, groups including collectives, local government authorities, arts-based businesses and individuals. Applicants must discuss their proposal with Arts OutWest staff before applying. Funded activities must occur in the Arts OutWest service area and for this round should happen between 1 January 2025 and 31 December 2025. Activities must be primarily arts or cultural activities and CASP funding must be primarily used for artists' or arts workers' fees and expenses. Activities with Aboriginal cultural elements must include either a letter of support or a reference contact from a suitable Aboriginal organisation, group or business. Activities must be covered by public liability insurance. Ineligible applicants include those based outside the Arts OutWest region, state and federal government departments, schools, applicants with overdue CASP or Create NSW acquittals, and applicants who have not discussed their application with Arts OutWest staff. Ineligible projects include previously funded CASP activities, activities outside the region, projects not primarily arts or cultural, capital works, core equipment purchases, competitions, prizes, adjudication fees, fundraising events, general sponsorship, core administration costs, curriculum-related school or tertiary activities, projects already commenced or completed, duplicate Create NSW-funded activities, and general operating expenses or ongoing costs of long-term continuous projects.
