Who Can Apply

• Organisation must be independent and not-for-profit, with arts and cultural services as its primary purpose. • Organisation must have received $350,000 or more per annum of multi-year and/or project funding in 2023/24 from Create NSW’s Arts and Cultural Funding Program, excluding COVID support, strategic initiative funding, Culture Up Late, Sound NSW, Screen NSW and Create Infrastructure funding. • Organisation must have at least four full-time and/or part-time employees. • Organisation must be based in New South Wales. • Organisation must adhere to Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property policies and Create NSW Aboriginal Cultural Protocols when working with First Nations artists and/or communities. • Organisation must have a minimum average income exceeding $750,000 per annum from all sources. • For-profit organisations cannot apply. • Organisations primarily focused on filmmaking, screen production, mainstream animation, digital games or film festivals cannot apply. • Organisations primarily focused on contemporary music cannot apply. • Local government authorities or business units of a local government authority cannot apply. • Educational institutions, including preschools and schools, cannot apply. • National performing arts partnership organisations cannot apply. • State or federal government departments or agencies, including state cultural institutions, cannot apply. • Organisations with annual turnover of less than $750,000 cannot apply.
To be eligible, an applicant must be an independent not-for-profit organisation whose primary purpose is providing arts and cultural services; have received $350,000 or more per annum of multi-year and/or project funding in the 2023/24 financial year from Create NSW’s Arts and Cultural Funding Program, excluding specified funding streams; have at least four full-time and/or part-time employees; be based in New South Wales; adhere to Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property policies and Create NSW Aboriginal Cultural Protocols when working with First Nations artists and/or communities; and have a minimum average income exceeding $750,000 per annum from all sources. Ineligible applicants include for-profit organisations, organisations primarily focused on screen, contemporary music, local government authorities or business units of local government, educational institutions, national performing arts partnership organisations, state or federal government departments or agencies including state cultural institutions, and organisations with annual turnover below $750,000.
