• Be an employing business with fewer than 20 full-time equivalent employees • Be currently registered with WorkSafe Victoria • Hold an active Australian Business Number continuously from 26 August 2024 • Be registered for Goods and Services Tax continuously from 26 August 2025 • Be a visitor economy employing small business in an eligible ANZSIC class continuously from 26 August 2024 • Be located in the Alpine Shire local government area continuously from 26 August 2025 • Have experienced a revenue decline of at least 40% and at least $10000 across a single month between 26 August and 30 September 2025 compared with the same period in 2024 due to the 26 August 2025 security incident • Have been operational for at least 12 months before 26 August 2025 and intend to continue operating in Alpine Shire • Not be insolvent or bankrupt • Provide a letter from a Qualified Agent supporting the revenue decline and employee count • Not have received a $5000 grant under the 2025 Porepunkah Business Support Grant Program • If a not-for-profit business, be registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission or a similar State or Territory regulator
Applicants had to be employing small businesses with fewer than 20 full-time equivalent employees, currently registered with WorkSafe Victoria, holding an active ABN continuously from 26 August 2024, and registered for GST continuously from 26 August 2025. The business had to be a visitor economy employing small business operating in an eligible ANZSIC class continuously from 26 August 2024, located in the Alpine Shire local government area continuously from 26 August 2025, and operational for at least 12 months before 26 August 2025 with an intention to continue operating in Alpine Shire. Applicants had to show a revenue decline of at least 40% and at least $10,000 across a single month between 26 August and 30 September 2025 compared with the same period in 2024, due to the 26 August 2025 security incident, supported by a letter from a qualified agent. Businesses that received a $5,000 grant under the 2025 Porepunkah Business Support Grant Program were ineligible. Applicants also had to not be insolvent or bankrupt. Not-for-profit businesses had to be registered with the ACNC or a similar State or Territory regulator.
