Who Can Apply

• Business premises must be located in a Victorian Alpine Resort • Must pay $50000 or more in annual service charges for commercial operations • Must have either 70 or more beds, or a fully enclosed commercial area of 700 square metres or greater • Must hold an ABN and have held that ABN on 2020-09-13 • Must be registered for GST on 2020-09-13 • Must be registered with the responsible Federal or State regulator • At the commencement of the 2020 winter season, must have operated an eligible business type: food and beverage venue, retail outlet, visitor service business, or accommodation business with a public on-site food and beverage venue or retail outlet • Must demonstrate the business is critical to the economy of its Alpine Resort • Businesses managing lift operations at a resort are not eligible • Publicly listed businesses are not eligible • One grant only per business as defined by its ABN
Applicants must be businesses with premises located in a Victorian Alpine Resort. To be eligible they must pay $50000 or more in annual service charges for their commercial operations; have either a bed count of 70 or more beds or a fully enclosed commercial area of 700 square metres or greater; hold an active Australian Business Number that was held on 13 September 2020; be registered for Goods and Services Tax on 13 September 2020; be registered with the responsible Federal or State regulator; and, at the commencement of the 2020 winter season, have operated an eligible business type such as a food and beverage venue, retail outlet, visitor service business, or an accommodation business with a public on-site food and beverage venue or retail outlet. Eligible businesses must also demonstrate they are critical to the economy of their Alpine Resort. Businesses responsible for managing lift operations at a resort and publicly listed businesses are not eligible.
