Who Can Apply

• Applicant must be a non-government organisation or an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation • Applicant organisation must be not-for-profit • Applicant must be incorporated under relevant Australian legislation • ACCOs must be controlled and operated by Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people • ACCOs must be connected to the communities in which they deliver services • ACCOs must be governed by a majority Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander governing body • Individuals and groups of individuals cannot apply • Unincorporated organisations cannot apply • For-profit commercial organisations cannot apply • Services must not be delivered outside New South Wales • Stream 1A applications must be submitted by the due date • Stream 1A applications must request $600,000 or less • Stream 1A applications must add, expand or enhance service offerings • Stream 1A applications must include a drug and alcohol element in the service model • Stream 1A requires applicants to demonstrate a history of working together, or equivalent in-house capability with strong pathways • At least one Stream 1A partner must have experience working with people experiencing AOD-related harm • Stream 1B applications must be submitted by the due date • Stream 1B applications must request no more than $1,000,000 • Stream 1B applications must include a new partnership, new location or significant new elements not funded elsewhere • Stream 1B applications must serve at least one listed priority population • At least one Stream 1B organisation must have experience working with the relevant priority population • At least one Stream 1B organisation must have experience working with people affected by AOD • Applications must be submitted in full with all required documents • At least one partner organisation must be accredited or working towards accreditation against an approved standard
Applicants for Stream 1A or 1B must be either a non-government organisation or an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation. Eligible NGOs must be not-for-profit and incorporated under relevant Australian legislation. Eligible ACCOs must be not-for-profit, incorporated, controlled and operated by Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, connected to the communities where services are delivered, and governed by a majority Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander governing body. Individuals, groups of individuals, unincorporated organisations and for-profit commercial organisations cannot apply. Services must be delivered in New South Wales. Stream 1A applications must be for up to $600,000, involve adding, expanding or enhancing service offerings, include a drug and alcohol element, and demonstrate partnership history or equivalent in-house capability with strong referral pathways. Stream 1B applications must be for up to $1,000,000, include a new partnership, new location or significant new elements not funded elsewhere, serve at least one priority population, and show relevant experience with both the priority population and people affected by alcohol and other drugs. At least one partner organisation must be accredited or working towards accreditation against an approved standard.
