Who Can Apply

Eligible lead applicants are Victorian TAFEs, certain RTOs, and Learn Locals. Projects must be delivered in Victoria. Projects must be endorsed by industry. Only one application may be submitted per eligible organisation as lead applicant.
Eligible applicants are Victorian TAFEs, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) holding a current Skills First VET Funding Contract, RTOs without a current Skills First VET Funding Contract that have demonstrated experience delivering specialised training in agriculture in Victoria, and Learn Locals. Projects must be delivered in Victoria and must be endorsed by industry, such as through an industry association, organisation or relevant local business. An eligible organisation may submit only one application as lead organisation, but may partner on multiple applications. Organisations that are not TAFEs, do not hold a current Skills First VET Funding Contract, are not eligible specialist agriculture RTOs in Victoria, or are not Learn Locals are ineligible to apply as lead applicants, although some may partner with an eligible lead applicant.

Funded activities include curriculum design and delivery, equipment and technology purchases, capital refurbishment, and other project costs related to delivering agriculture training initiatives.

Expected Outcomes

Projects are expected to deliver modern, industry-endorsed agriculture training in Victoria, improve workforce skills and training capability, strengthen pathways from school through vocational and higher education into employment, and support inclusion of diverse and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants.
